Little Kai is hit in the eye and heart by the devil's mirror. As his heart freezes into ice, his thinking and imagination fade, and the boy's affection for his girlfriend Gerda also expires. The Snow Queen lures Kai with promises to the ice palace at the bitterly cold end of the world. Now only the love of little Gerda can save him. She bravely sets out on an adventurous journey. In search of the friend help her a crow, a robber girl, a princess and also a reindeer.
The imaginative fairy tale by Hans Christian Andersen lives from the dazzling characters who support Gerda in her search for her friend and playmate. The crow explains the connections and supports the scene changes, the many classical pieces of music enhance the effect of the play.
