Karsu - Jazz-Pop at the Kulturzentrum, Mainz - 2for1 tickets
With her unique blend of pop, jazz and Turkish music, Amsterdam-based singer and pianist Karsu enchants people worldwide. With her excellent band, stunning stage presence and a repertoire that ranges from jazz to danceable funk songs to intimate Turkish songs, she is definitely a true star.
She has performed in over 20 countries around the world and has played three times at New York's famed Carnegie Hall and twice at the North Sea Jazz Festival.
In 2012, she released her debut album "Confession," followed by "Colors" in 2015, for which she received an Edison Award. In 2017, she played "Play My Strings" in theaters and in 2018, she followed it up with the tour "Karsu plays Atlantic Records." After that, Karsu toured many countries again, including Turkey, where her concerts are always sold out.
At the end of 2019, the album "Karsu" was released, an album with again self-written English and Turkish lyrics. The release of the album was followed by a club tour in the Netherlands and Turkey. In addition, a world tour was planned for 2020; Karsu would perform in America and Russia, among other places.
