Wallride: Over all mountains - Multivision with Stefan Glowacz in the Hugenottenhalle - 2for1 tickets
The numbers can only give a very vague idea of the incredible effort that professional adventurer Stefan Glowacz and his partner Philipp Hans had to put in during their WALLRIDE project this year.
On June 25, 2021, the CO2 neutral adventure on mountain bikes started in Berg am Starnberger See. The first destination was in the eastern foothills of the Dolomites. A first ascent succeeded on the 800-meter-high southeast face of Croda Bianca, a 2,840-meter-high rock cathedral in the Marmarole Group.
The second goal for Glowacz and Hans was nearly 1,000 kilometers away in the westernmost foothills of the Alps, at the 2,709-meter Pic de Bure in the French Maritime Alps. On this mountain, too, the duo climbed a first ascent on the 700-meter-high east face. The routes are in the 8th and upper 8th degree of difficulty. Both routes were climbed in alpine style with a bivouac on each face.
Throughout the adventure on old supply routes and trails, the two professional athletes used only mountain bikes without electric assistance. The total of 35 kilograms of equipment was transported under their own power in specially designed trailers.
