On a "peep-box stage" lined with black velvet at Velvets Theater Wiesbaden, black-masked actors lead puppets and other objects through a narrow alley of light. Only the objects hit by the spotlight cone become visible to the audience, while the players remain hidden in darkness. This allows the most amazing effects to be created, blurring the boundaries with reality and transporting the audience into a world of magic and illusion full of poetry and enchantment.

With only a magic flower in her hand and the help of turtle Cassiopeia, Master Hora and her friends Beppo and Gigi, our heroine Momo fights against the gray lords who steal time from people. Momo lives alone in an old amphitheater. She hardly owns any material things, but she has a lot of something in particular: time. She likes to share it with her friends Beppo and Gigi. Everyone likes Momo because she is an excellent listener. But one day everything changes: no one visits Momo anymore. She gets to the bottom of the matter and discovers the secret of the gray gentlemen from the Time Savings Bank, who steal people's lifetimes and ensure that life becomes increasingly dull. To save her friends, Momo takes up the fight against the gray power with the help of turtle Kassiopeia and master Hora. The problem of "time eaters" of all kinds is more topical today than ever before; "Momo" gives us food for thought to fill our limited time with meaning and life again.
